The All Rise movie is an adaptation of the novel by Walter Dean Myers. It is a story of a Black high school student who dreams of making a film. He wanders around his neighborhood of Harlem taking pictures and capturing video of people he finds interesting. He has a core group of friends in the high school film club, including his caring girlfriend Renee and younger brother Jerry. His parents, played by Jennifer Hudson and Christopher Walken, are supportive and love him unconditionally.

All Rise is a courtroom drama
